Montargis

The city of Montargis is situated one hour away from the South East of Paris, in the Center Region, Loiret department and within a short drive to the Loire castles. From Paris you can reach Montargis by the highway RN 7 or by train from the railway station Gare De Lyon.

Venice of Gâtinais

You can navigate through the town of Montargis, which is crossed by numerous canals afloat with flower strewn boats and has 127 bridges, earning it the second name, La Venice du Gâtinais. The city is also famous for the fine flower decoration all year round and Hotel Central Montargis has been granted an award as one of the most beautiful flowered hotels in the town.

Castle Loire valley

Montargis is a good starting point for discovering the Loire Valley famous for its natural beauty, magnificent castles and captivating towns. For its cultural treasures the Loire River valley is featured on the UNESCO World heritage site. During the summer season you can participate in free guided walking tours through the city of Montargis which are held each Monday.
